Q1: Are these LED bulbs compatible with all pinball machines?

A1: Our LED bulbs are designed to be compatible with most standard pinball machines on the market, including popular brands such as Williams, Bally, Gottlieb, and Stern using 6.3V lamp circuits.Some older or modified machines may use special sockets or non‑standard voltages. Before replacing, please verify the socket type, confirm the machine uses 6.3V or 12V, and ensure there is enough physical space for the bulb.

Q2: Is it difficult to install the LED bulbs?

A2: Installation is identical to standard incandescent bulbs and is completely plug‑and‑play.

Recommended steps: power off the machine, remove the original bulb, insert or screw in the LED bulb, then power the machine back on for testing. In most cases it takes less than 30 seconds per bulb, so both technicians and end users can perform the replacement easily.

Q3: Do I need extra heat sinks or voltage adjustment for these LEDs?

A3: No extra heat dissipation or voltage modification is required. These LEDs are specifically designed for standard 6.3V pinball lamp circuits and can directly replace original bulbs.
Because of the low power consumption and low heat generation, no additional heat sinks, resistors, or power supply changes are needed under normal operating conditions.

Section 2: Brightness, Color & Visual Effect

Q4: Are the LEDs brighter than the original bulbs?

A4: Yes, they are generally brighter than traditional incandescent bulbs, but are tuned specifically for pinball use to avoid glare and washed‑out playfields.​
On most machines, LEDs make the artwork, ball paths, and scoring areas easier to see while still preserving the original game feel. Different brightness levels are available if you prefer either a more subtle or more intense lighting effect.​

Q5: Will LEDs change the color or overall look of the machine?

A5:We offer cool white, warm white, and various colored versions. White LEDs usually make colors look cleaner and slightly more saturated, while colored LEDs can enhance themed areas or call‑out features.​
Because LEDs have a more directional and narrow spectrum output, certain viewing angles may show slightly different color perception compared with incandescent lamps, especially with strong colors. We recommend directly test the bulb colors on the demo machine at the booth to choose the color temperature and color combination that best matches your desired style.

Q6: How do warm white, neutral white, and cool white LEDs differ on a pinball machine?

A6:

  • Warm white (2700K–3000K): Slightly yellow, similar to classic bulbs, ideal for older or retro‑themed machines, giving a softer, nostalgic look.​
  • Neutral white (~4000K): Balanced tone with high color accuracy, neither too warm nor too cool, suitable for most machines and display environments.​
  • Cool white (~6000K): Very crisp and white, making inserts, texts, and details stand out, often preferred for modern games, tournament setups, or high‑contrast layouts.

Q7: Do these LEDs suffer from ghosting or after‑glow issues?

A7: Some pinball lamp matrices leave a small residual voltage on “off” lamps. Incandescent bulbs do not respond to this, but LEDs can glow faintly, which is known as ghosting.

Our Non‑ghosting LED versions include additional Capacitor to suppress this effect and significantly reduce or eliminate ghosting. For competition machines or players who are very sensitive to lamp behavior, the Non‑ghosting series is strongly recommended.​

Section 3: Power Saving, Lifetime & Reliability

Q8: How much energy do LED bulbs save compared to original lamps?

A8: Compared to traditional pinball incandescent lamps, LED bulbs operate at significantly lower power consumption while delivering sufficient brightness.

For commercial or long-running machines, converting the game to LEDs helps reduce overall power draw and heat generation, easing long-term stress on the power supply, driver boards, and wiring, and improving system reliability.

Q9: What is the power rating, and do LEDs generate heat?

A9: Each pinball LED bulb typically consumes about 0.1W–0.5W, much lower than incandescent lamps.
Heat is mainly generated by the LED chip and driver, but the overall temperature is significantly lower than incandescent bulbs, which helps prevent socket discoloration, plastic deformation, and long‑term board heating issues.​

Section 4: Maintenance, Replacement & Warranty

Q10: If a bulb fails, can I replace just one LED?

A10: Yes. We supply replacement packs starting from 10 pieces per bag, which is convenient for technicians and owners to keep as spare stock.​
It is recommended to keep a small set of spare bulbs per machine so that if a single LED becomes dim or fails, it can be replaced individually without any large‑scale disassembly.​

Q11: Do the LEDs come with a warranty?

A11: Our LEDs include a warranty of approximately 6 months to 1 year, depending on the specific model and program, covering manufacturing defects and non‑user‑induced failures.​
If a bulb fails or flickers abnormally within a short time under normal use, you can contact us with purchase information and a sample, and we will help diagnose the issue and arrange replacement or other solutions.​

Q12: Can you provide custom colors or OEM / logo printing?

A12: Yes. We support OEM and customized solutions, including specific color combinations, special color temperatures, branded packaging, and logo printing.​
Minimum order quantities depend on the level of customization. At the booth, our sales team can discuss your quantities, distribution channels, and budget, then propose a tailored package for your needs.​

The Non‑ghosting versions help avoid misleading lamp behavior or after‑glow, giving players clear visual feedback on shots and rules even in bright, high‑contrast setups.​

Q14: Do LEDs have any negative effect on the game’s electronics?

A14: LEDs draw significantly less current and power than original lamps, which means they actually reduce stress on the power supply and driver electronics rather than increasing it.​
On a standard 6.3V pinball machine, using purpose‑built LED bulbs requires no circuit modification and will not negatively affect driver boards, wiring, or fuses when used as intended.​

Q15: How do LED color temperature and brightness affect visibility and scoring readability?

A15: Choosing the right combination of color temperature and brightness usually improves, rather than hurts, visibility of artwork, inserts, and scoring information.​
Warm white keeps a retro feeling, while cool white improves readability in bright rooms or competitive environments. On highly detailed playfields, neutral or cool white often helps separate artwork layers visually, making rules and shots easier to read.​

Q16: What LED package types and brightness options (e.g., 2835/5050/5630 SMD) do you offer?

Our pinball LEDs are based mainly on 2835, 5050, and 5630 SMD packages, each providing different brightness levels and beam characteristics.​
In general, 2835/5050 variants are used for standard brightness applications, while 5630 is chosen for high‑brightness or feature‑highlight areas. You can select the appropriate level based on the machine type and ambient lighting conditions.​
